Hubbel Bio

What is this comic, titled, "Hubbel"?

"Hubbel" is about relationships in life and in the workplace. It's about climbing the ladder of success and feeling like the ladder is growing taller every day. This story speaks to those who seek for meaning in life...to those who try to solve lifes puzzling mysteries and can't seem to find the right answer. It speaks to those on a journey to find those simple things that make us happiest in life.
If only we wouldn't complicate everything we touch!

Meet Bill Hubbel.
He's an average fellow who wants to make something of his life. He has a voice and wants to be heard...but no one cares to listen. The world is too busy.

You see, Bill lives in a unique world. It is foreign, yet familiar to us all. His kingdom is a kingdom run by animals. Animal intelligence exists, you might ask? Of course it does. Bill Hubbel is part of that working society of lower creatures.

Or are they?

Together, they might seem eerily familar to the kingdom of man. Are they the ones that really run the world? Are they really animals? Or are humans the real animals?(lower creatures)
No matter how you interpret it...the animal and human worlds exist,

....but do they ever collide?

Welcome to Gondwanaland. Bill works for a game company called "Gork Games". He is a programmer. Too smart for his own good, and light years ahead of everyone else. The misfits in this game company must get along to produce their epic video games. They endure crunch time, wasted time, deadlines, and lots of Poo Chuckers. They all have their own tasks to do to complete each game...and they get a paycheck...so no one complains...
except, Bill Hubbel. He always seems to have something to say.

Bill is witty, intelligent, and completely full of himself. His motto is that he is "One of a Kind".
Its quite true, he is definitely one of a kind.
His intelligence is way beyond his years...and he excels in intellectual banter. Little does he know that his own intelligence will work against him in his life. He has a lot to learn...and has a lot of growing up to do. So, although his journey may be a rough road...it is a road we all can relate to.

So who is Bill? Why is he so truly unique.

I'll explain.

Bill Hubbel is part Loon and part Blue Footed Booby. His mother and father had a "moment" during the migration...and viola! Bill was hatched. His mother knew from the minute Bill hatched that her life would never be the same. Bill's father decided to stick with the loons during the migration, so his interaction with his Booby son was quite limited...

Anyhow, Bill was born and he would soon make his own mark in the world.
(Whether anyone would notice or not)

Welcome to Gondwanaland. Welcome to "Hubbel".

Hubbel Has Arrived!!!!!!!

Finally...after 10 loooooong years, I am FINALLY ready to start getting this comic into high gear!

First, a few updates...

- "Hubbel Employed" is now called "Hubbel"....

- I will continue finishing the 3d models....the renderings will just appear when I am ready to show them. Be patient.

- Let me know if you are a true blue Loony Booby at heart. It's always good to know there are more of us out there in LoonyLand.

- I am still trying to develop my style, so expect things to change along this journey. I am not perfect by any means!

- I will also fill in the back story along the way...it's tooooo much to give in one sitting...so you'll just get mini bites along the way. Plus, I don't want the story setup to slow me down at this point.

- I hope you enjoy a sneak peak into what I have been developing for 10 loooong years!!!! I'd love feedback.

- I don't think I can get a comic every day...but I will try to get to that point. My ultimate goal is 1 comic each week day. (5 per week) I'm not sure how long it will take me to get to that level....my 2d drawing skills have taken a backseat to 3d art for 17 years...so I am a little rusty.

- And finally, I broke down and bought a Wacom 24 HD Cintiq. That was the missing element missing from me getting these comics online. I have always been drawing and writing the Hubbel comic, but now you get to see them!!

Enjoy!
